ABOUT RUN:

Run by the Training Station is a store that will help you become a better runner. Yes, Run sells running shoes, but Run also provides patrons with nutritional guides, coaching and consultations, and a running technique analysis. The ultimate benefit to Run comes in the form of a waived initiation fee (of $80) to join the Training Station with the purchase of any sneaker.

ABOUT THE TRAINING STATION:

We believe that if you are going to pay for a gym membership, you should use it. So if we don’t see our members regularly, we give them a heckle call. We believe that you can get all of the protein you need from food so we offer our members post workout meals instead of protein shakes. We believe that vigorous training is a way of life so we offer our members the most advanced weight training and aerobic machines available from companies like Life Fitness and Hammer Strength. We believe that if you use these machines properly and you push yourself, you are going to get sore. So we offer muscle rubdowns and deep muscle stimulation to aid in the recovery process. We believe in pro coaches so they are available to all our members. We believe that competition is motivating so we offer our members incentives and recognition for reaching milestones. We believe in state-of-the-art, so we work with a dozen firms in the design and engineering realms to create the optimal environment for training. We believe in clean spaces and follow an 85-point plan to ensure our space is spotless. Above all else, we believe in having our members train like pro athletes so they can find the pro within themselves.

ABOUT THE DRILLS:

Saturday Morning Drills in the Piazza. Warm up, work out, and cool down with Phil Clark, a veteran athlete in training for the 2012 Olympics!

This is an all levels activity so don’t be shy.

Morning Drills are on Saturday mornings at 8AM, on the Piazza. (Meet at Run) It’s the best way to wake up on a Saturday.

Phil is also organizing the following weekday evening runs. The meeting time and place is 7PM at Run. Phil has certified the distance of each run.
